Scope of duties

In Cyclad we work with top international IT companies in order to boost their potential in delivering outstanding, cutting edge technologies that shape the world of the future. We are creating a team that conducts complex projects for one of the top software companies providing solutions for the worldwide travel industry. We are searching for Full-stack Expert with versatile background who will benefit from setting up the cornerstone of the operations scattered over 3 countries. At first stage you’ll take over the existing angular/java project and ensure its development/maintenance.
At later stage we plan to start working on new version of the loyalty program application. You will need to get familiar with new booking platform (built on top of modern open source technologies). Your role will be to write presentational and container components, use REST APIs and reactive streams to collect and transform data, keep state in store, ensure that your code fits the architecture (rely on code generators/custom schematics), contribute to marketplace, guarantee components responsiveness and accessibility (WCAG compliancy), test and document your work.
 
Project information:
  • Industry: Travel / Airlines
  • Type of project: development and maintenance of the platform dedicated to the largest traveler loyalty   program in Europe + migration to an open-source digital platform (new app almost from scratch)
  • Target location: Bad Homburg (GER)  but Warsaw (PL) or Gdańsk (PL) or Nice (FR) are also possible
  • Induction: 4-6 weeks in Nice (France) + 6 months in Bad Homburg (GER)
  • Remote work: occasionally during induction / later up to 50%
  • Remuneration: up to 360 EUR/MD (depending on candidate’s experience)
  • Form of contract: b2b or employment contract
  • Project language: English (knowledge of German/Polish will be an asset)

Project scope:
  • Takeover and grow into technical and functional aspects of a prominent loyalty program platform for travelers
  • Platform development and maintenance
  • Development on top of new open-source Digital platform allowing travel customers to create and manage their digital commerce, check-in and disruption experiences across web, mobile and messaging touchpoints
  • Working closely with customer to deliver bespoke components in order to build customized solution
  • Writing unit tests for every piece of software (Karma, Jasmine)
  • Working in Scrum/ Agile environment
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems 

Basic requirments

  • Experience in web development – min. 3 years
  • Frontend: Very good knowledge of Angular 6+, reactive programming (RXJS), Redux pattern for Angular (NGRX), REST, SCSS, HTML, bootstrap, accessibility WCAG (nice to have but really important)
  • Backend: good knowledge of  Java 7, Spring 3
  • Experience in using Jasmine/Karma
  • Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Sonar, Confluence, Jira, Postman, IntelliJ/VS code
  • Good communication (customer-facing by phone), self-reliance (very important) and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and assess technology and functionalities 
  • Very good English – contact with international teams on a daily basis
