Scope of duties

Our client works at the heart of the global travel industry and provides the technology which keeps the travel sector moving. These products and solutions help to improve the business performance of customers; travel agencies, corporations, airlines, ground handlers, hotels, railways, car rental companies, airports, cruise lines and ferry operators. We’re currently looking for candidates for the position of UX Researcher to join the User Experience Research and Design team under Airline Digital unit in Villeneuve Loubet, near Nice in France. You will be part of the UX team working closely with UX researchers, interaction and visual designers.
 
Project information:
  • Industry: Travel – Airline Digital         
  • Type of project: support the entire product/ service design cycle, from product/ service definition, design process, to UX solutions evaluation/ tracking, as well as digital context
  • Location: Villeneuve Loubet (06), near Nice, France
  • Project language: English
  • Project length: indefinite
  • Assignment start date: ASAP, depending on candidate’s availability
 
Project scope:
Product/Service Definition and UX strategy
  • Work with customers and product management to help develop a product vision from user point of view
 
UX Research:
  • Define and lead UX research plan (including objective, scope, participant profile, methodologies, etc.)
  • Define detailed research protocol and conduct research accordingly
  • Create report and conduct presentation to share results with internal stakeholders and external clients, delivery can include personas, mental models, customer journey maps, service blueprints, user tasks and needs analysis, design guidelines etc.)
  • Work with research partners when needed
 
UX Design support:
  • Conduct cognitive walkthrough/heuristic evaluation and share the results with stakeholders
  • Facilitate ideation design sessions with stakeholders and provide design guidelines based on research findings
  • Work with interaction/visual designers to make sure the final delivery is consistent with research findings

Basic requirments

Competence demands:
  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience on user experience research, experience on a wide spectrum of digital products and services including B2C, B2B, and innovation
  • Expert on applying UCD process, human computer interaction theory and usability principles
  • Expert on research techniques including field studies, contextual interviews, focus groups, participatory design, card sorting, surveys, formative and summative usability testing, comparative usability testing, etc.
  • Familiar with statistics
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in travel industry is a plus
